2012 Modron Mucsat

Muscat is believed to be the oldest domesticated grape and may have given way to most Vitis vinifera varieties, a "mother grape" so to speak. It's fitting then, that our mother loves a sweet wine, especially a delightful Muscat. We want this wine to celebrate our mother, her recent struggles, and eventual triumph. To honor her in a word, we pulled from her Celtic heritage a deity that symbolizes motherhood and strength, Modron. This Muscat has beautiful floral and orange peel aromas, and a thick silky mouth feel accompanied by honeysuckle and apricot.

2009 Amphorae Cabernet Sauvignon

Technical Notes   |   Tasting Notes

Amphorae were used for thousands of years to store and transport wine. Studying and tracking these clay vessels has allowed us to gain knowledge about early winemaking cultures. Over time Cabernet Sauvignon has become a staple in most wine regions. With this wine we hope to transport the drinker to the Rogue region to enjoy a new experience of this varietal. Enjoy the journey.

Aromas of semi-sweet chocolate, golden raisins, and caramel apple blend with wild blackberry blossom and rich overripe berries. On the palate flavors of overripe black and blueberry and dark chocolate are supported by soft tannins. The wine lays heavy on the tongue with just the right amount of acidity to leave the palate clean with lingering berry and toasted oak.

2009 Terebinth Cabernet Franc

Technical Notes   |   Tasting Notes

Terebinth trees were revered by ancient cultures as places of solitude and reflection. They also served utilitarian roles in ancient society, including the use of Terebinth resin to preserve wine. Like the early winemakers, by producing a 100% Cab Franc we are preserving the varietal essence in this wine.

The wine has aromas of sweet spice, anise, and roasted coffee. Flavors of cassis, pomegranate, and plum are accompanied by spice, leather, and a thick body with soft tannins. We have created a wine that can stand alone and will pass the test of time.

2010 One Toe Duck Pinot Noir

Technical Notes   |   Tasting Notes

Nutty aroma leads into cocoa powder and is pleasantly dominated by dried fruits and sweet spice.  It is cool and silky on the palate with flavors of toasted hazelnut, Queen Anne cherries, and bright strawberry. This is accompanied by balanced acidity with a clean crisp finish of soft tannins and lingering spice and vanilla.

2012 Portcullis Marionberry Dessert Wine

Technical Notes   |   Tasting Notes

The portcullis or "castle gate" has been a symbol of protection and pride for centuries. We thought it was perfect to symbolize our Fortified Marionberry Wine. Just as Marionberries are a source of pride for Oregon, we strove to protect this fruit's unique characteristics.

Rich aromas of mixed berry jam and bubble gum radiate from the glass along with the brilliant ruby color. The abundant flavors of Marionberry pie leave little doubt of the wines origin. The berry flavors are accented by hints of toasted wood and vanilla from partial barrel aging.
